Ben Walden finished top of the advanced field

Rob Smart won Guernsey Velo Club's Chouet Mountain Bike Race after seeing off a challenge from Josh Gosselin in the tight technical sections.

Winter storms had changed the Chouet course, the new rocks and un-ridable areas surprised the riders on Sunday.

Leon Ogier found himself in third when Gary Robert and Jon Osborn both suffered punctures but with a repaired tyre Osborn overtook him.

Ben Walden won the advanced section, finishing above several expert riders.
