King was the 2006 world indoor singles title

Mervyn King was knocked out of the Scottish Open semi-finals in a deciding set in Perth on Friday.

Norfolk's eighth seed and former world indoor champion was beaten by 12th seed Ian Bond 5-7 11-4 1-2.

King was hoping to achieve back-to-back title wins on the World Bowls Tour after winning the World Matchplay Title in Sheffield in July.

Bond will now face Paul Foster in Saturday's final after he beat qualifier Stewart Anderson.
