Raftopoulos was appointed Heat coach in May last year
Guildford Heat coach Creon Raftopoulos is looking for revenge against the Mersey Tigers when the two sides meet in the BBL this weekend.
The Heat have lost all three games to the Tigers this season, including defeat in the BBL Trophy final.
Raftopoulos told BBC Surrey: "We're excited about it after our performance at the finals.
"As a coach, there's something I'd like to set straight. It'll be a great confidence boost if we get that win."
The Zimbabwean boss also said he believed his side may have the upper hand as it will be the third of four matches in five days for the Tigers.
"They've got a tough schedule," he continued.
"If we can get in there fresh and play an up-tempo style of basketball, I think we'll have a good chance."
The Heat currently lie joint seventh in the BBL table, and with six games of the season left, Raftopoulos is wary of the need to secure a top-eight finish and qualify for the play-offs.
"We don't want to be in a situation where there are four games left and four wins needed," he added.
"We need to stay focused. We want to get the wins as soon as possible."
