Guildford Heat coach Creon Raftopoulos says the squad are trying to not worry about the club's financial problems.
Chairman Alan McClafferty has put the club up for sale, while fans are attempting to raise £25,000 in 25 days to secure the Heat's short-term future.
Raftopoulos told BBC Surrey: "We're trying to remain as positive as possible. We're not looking down that dark road just yet.
"But it is a serious situation. We're running on a month-to-month basis."
The Zimbabwean added: "We've got a couple of games coming up on TV that we're hoping to sell sponsorship deals for.
"We've got a lot of loyal fans and we don't want to let them down. It makes you want to play harder and hope it doesn't come to an end.
"It is very difficult to deal with. You're talking about all our jobs and income on the line.
"We're trying to keep things positive. Credit to the guys - they're being as professional as possible."
Meanwhile, the club have received a boost with the news that the BBL Trophy final will be held at the 02 Arena in London, ahead of a regular season NBA game on Saturday, 5 March.
The Heat will face either the Newcastle Eagles or the Mersey Tigers, who meet later this month.
