Worcester Wolves to build on Eagles win - Paul James
Worcester Wolves head coach Paul James says the thrilling 99-96 overtime win against Newcastle Eagles on Saturday is something they can build on.
The Wolves were level at 90-90 against defending BBL Champions as Rod Middleton forced overtime with a last second shot.
"We will only get better the more times we are in this situation," James told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"The more comfortable the players will feel about canning the game."
Middleton said the win against Newcastle was a boost for the team and supporters.
"It was a really great game and I was always confident we would win," he said.
"I thought we really controlled the game for pretty much the whole time.
"The way we were playing on the night, I just thought we were going to win for every second - even when the Eagles went in front near the end."
"I knew someone would step up, whether it was me, Danny (Gilbert) or Tin-Tin (David Watts).
"The atmosphere was incredible and it was so intense.
"Of course it's only one game but as the Eagles have set such high standards and raised the bar, it was a fantastic way to start the new season in the league."
