James saw his side beat Cheshire Jets in the BBL Trophy last week |
Worcester Wolves face their first big test of the season at home to the Mersey Tigers on Saturday, with coach Paul James in confident mood. James told BBC Hereford and Worcester he believes his squad can challenge for honours this season. "I feel we are going to be very competitive this year," he said. "You have to wait until we have played everyone elseto see what they have bought in. But we will be well and disciplined and I have high hopes." He added: "We have a team that will stick up for each other. We will play hard. "We have done a lot of work and have brought in a strength and conditioning coach." After playing the Tigers, Wolves then face another tough proposition on Sunday when they are away to the Cheshire Jets. The Tigers game takes place at Worcester university, starting at 1900 BST.
