Williams joined Riders in 2008

Leicester Riders have re-signed their captain LaTaryl Williams for the 2010/11 season.

The versatile 32-year-old has been a key member of the team for the past two campaigns, which have been two of the best in the club's history.

Coach Rob Paternostro said: "He has been a valuable part of my team both on and off the floor.

"He is a true professional and really unselfish. To me that's one of the most important things about his leadership."

Williams averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game last season and was one of the BBL premier stoppers, as recognised by his place in the All-Defensive team according to leading website Eurobasket.com.

Paternostro added: "It's nice to have him signed up first, because as I'm building my team, his versatility allows me to go in a few different ways."
