Everton Tigers had a mixed weekend, beating Essex Pirates 95-83 on Saturday before falling to a 76-67 defeat against Worcester Wolves on Sunday. The free-scoring Tigers made light work of the Pirates, James Jones top-scoring with 30 points. But it was a different story at home against the Wolves as Everton struggled with consistency, although Olu Babalola scored 21 points for the Blues. Tigers are now tied eighth on 22 points with Cheshire Jets and Worthing. Cheshire Jets also suffered a home defeat, going down narrowly, 71-70, at home to MK Lions. The Lions were leading 71-68 with 90 seconds left to play when Colin O'Reilly scored to bring Paul Smith's side within a point. But, once possession had been turned over, the Jets could not take advantage as there were only 4.3 seconds left.
