Everton Tigers fell to their second defeat in as many games as they came unstuck against the MK Lions on Friday. Poor second and third quarters left the Tigers 20 points behind and it was just too much to claw back. Trey Moore and James Jones were the top scorers for the Tigers with 22 points each, although top scorer on the night was MK's Frank Holmes with 29. Tony Garbelotto's side have fallen to eighth in the table and are now two points away from a play-off spot. Meanwhile, in the BBL Trophy the Cheshire Jets ran out 99-57 winners over the London Leopards to go through to the quarter-finals. The BBL Cup runners-up took a 10-0 lead and never looked in any danger as they were ahead 54-26 at the half-way stage. Their domination continued after the break, with Jerrah Young top-scoring with 25 points as the Jets just finished short of the century mark.
