Moore won the BBL Trophy and title with Newcastle |
Everton Tigers have completed the signing of former Newcastle Eagles guard Trey Moore. The 33-year-old, who has twice been named BBL player of the year, helped the Eagles win the BBL Championship last season. Moore previously helped Cheshire Jets win the BBL Championship in 2005. Head coach Tony Garbelotto said: "He has played at the highest level in this league so will bring his experience and versatility to the team." Garbelotto added: "Trey has made a huge impact on the BBL in recent years and he is a player that we have all been watching. "His scoresheet proves his strengths - averaging in excess of 20 points per game throughout his two seasons with Cheshire Jets and helping both the Jets and the Eagles to collect silverware." Moore, who first came to Britain when he joined Birmingham in 2003, became only the third player in the 22-year history of the BBL to win the player of the year award twice when he edged out Tigers' Andre Smith to the 2008/09 prize.
