Paul James wants to take the Worcester Wolves to the BBL play-offs |
Worcester Wolves will aim for their second win under new coach Paul James as they try to re-build their season with the visit of Cheshire Jets. The home side trail the head-to-head standings between the two sides by one game, but that does not worry James. "My aim's to make sure we understand what we're supposed to be doing as a team and not worry about how we match up with the opposition," he said. Wolves beat London Capital last week but lost to Sheffield Sharks. The results follow the departure of coach Chuck Evans and six players in November after a dispute meant James had to re-build the team. But the former Guildford coach says he and the new players have bonded well in the short time they have been together as he aims to take the Wolves to the play-off's. "The players have responded to me very well since I started here and we almost had the perfect start last weekend. "If we can perform like we did against Sheffield on a consistent basis, then I'm sure we can make a push for a play-off spot," he said.
