Leicester Riders cancel Minor deal by mutual consent

Tack Minor
Minor has played a key role for Riders this season

Leicester Riders guard Tack Minor will not return after the festive period, after the club agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

Minor has been a revelation this season, leading Riders' scoring and being second in the BBL in scoring.

But coach Rob Paternostro said: "Tack has had some personal issues in the last few weeks which was affecting him.

"We agreed it'd be best if he returned to the US. He is an outstanding talent and we wish him well for the future."

Paternostro, who is already searching for a replacement with a work permit place now opened up, added: "Now it is up to the other guys to pull together, while we find a replacement."

The Riders expect to have a new signing in place in time for the home game against Guildford Heat on 9 January.
