Leicester Riders were beaten 90-87 by Worthing Thunder in their last match before the festive break. Thunder led 19-18 going into the second quarter and 41-39 ahead at half-time. The home side stayed on top in the third period and an 8-2 run stretched their lead to 65-56 at one stage - their largest lead of Saturday's match. Riders trimmed the gap to 68-64 but despite Bradd Wierzbicki leading all scorers with 24 points, Thunder held on to secure a thrilling victory. Lithuanian Evaldas Zabas marked his debut for the Thunder with a 20-point performance.
