One day when I leave Leicester it will not because I want to leave but because I have finished my mission
Milan Mandaric
Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric has moved to quash the latest speculation linking him with a return to his former club Portsmouth.
The Premier League strugglers have been plagued by financial worries this term.
But Mandaric called BBC Radio Leicester's Football Forum on Monday and said: "I'd like to reassure fans that I am loyal and am here to stay.
"I love my ex-supporters in Portsmouth but I did my job there and I finished my mission."
Mandaric was Portsmouth chairman from to 1998-2006 and oversaw the club's rise to the top flight during his time at Fratton Park.
But Mandaric said explained: "I took the club to where they belong but I never said I would buy the club back and never said I would leave Leicester.
"One day when I leave Leicester it will not because I want to leave but because I have finished my mission.
"I am loyal to my supporters here and I hope they are loyal to me. There is nothing to worry about. We need to stay united and get as high as we can together."
