Paternostro feels Minor will prove a valuable asset for Riders

Leicester Riders have signed guard Tack Minor for the new season.

The 25-year-old began his career at Louisiana State University and has since played in NBA feeder league, the NBDL and in Mexico's LNBP league.

Coach Rob Paternostro said: "To get a guy like Tack who has played American college basketball at the highest level is something we are excited about.

"His ability to push the basketball, get other people involved and score is a weapon we will be able to use."

"What I liked about Tack from the moment I saw him play was his ability to go north-to-south," Paternostro added.

"Instead of going east-west, side to side, his ability to go up and down the court quickly and that can put pressure on the opposing defence.

"Tack is certainly the type of player that I like. He can also play the off-guard position, I don't think he is just a point guard and I think in our guard rotation that will be very valuable.

"He is the sort of player that will certainly be exciting for the fans of Leicester to watch."
