Riders coach Rob Paternostro is happy with their home form

Leicester Riders maintained their unbeaten home record in the BBL Championship with a comfortable 99-65 win over Essex Pirates on Saturday.

Jason Johnson top scored with 23 points, while Aaron Westbrooks hit 19.

Riders head coach Rob Paternostro told BBC Radio Leicester: "I've been really impressed with Aaron in training all this week."

Irishman Westbrooks said: "I'm really enjoying it at Leicester and there's great strength in depth."

He added: "They really came out as us, but we sorted out our zone defence and it was a much better defensive performance overall."

The Riders entertain Milton Keynes Lions on Saturday, 17 October at 1930 BST.
