Leicester Riders will look to extend their perfect home record when the entertain Essex Pirates on Saturday.

Despite winning two of their opening three British Basketball League fixtures, the Riders are conceding, on average, 100 points per game.

Head coach Rob Paternostro told BBC Radio Leicester: "We really need to improve defensively, so we'll focus on that this weekend."

The Riders currently lie joint-second in the BBL.

Point guard Issac Westbrooks added that the team begun the season well and that he is pleased to have his brother Aaron in the squad.

"He's really enjoying being with the Riders," said Westbrooks.

"A few more weeks and he'll be even more potent coming off the bench.

Westbrooks is also enjoying playing with new Riders sensation Tack Minor.

"As soon as he gets the ball he's heading for the basket," added Westbrooks. "He's a really exciting player for the fans to watch"
