Worthing Thunder have a tough BBL weekend to look forward to on the back of a win on opening day.
The Sussex side are entertained by Sheffield on Friday before a home game against Glasgow Rocks on Saturday.
Head coach Dave Titmuss told BBC Sussex: "There's no question about it, both games are going to be real challenges for us.
"But those are the games that bring the best out in you and actually show really where we need to improve."
Glasgow Rocks, then called Scottish Rocks, finished last season's BBL in sixth place while Sheffield Sharks reached the play-offs.
This is Worthing Thunder's second season in the top tier of British basketball after winning election two seasons ago.
"We're not going to lie down and die against this teams, we're going to be extremely competitive, although, on paper clearly both teams have it over us. We'll see, games aren't won and lost on paper" Titmuss added.
