Worthing Thunder opened their 2009/10 BBL account with a convincing win over Plymouth Raiders.
Among the high scorers, new signing Sherrard Prezzie-Blue scored six three pointers and had four assists.
"I also thought there were moments throughout the game when we had a glimpse of what is to come," Thunder coach Dave Titmuss told BBC Sussex.
"It was a convincing win and what was pleasing was the scoring spread. We had five guys in good double figures."
Titmuss was also delighted with Sherrard Prezzie-Blue's contribution.
"Just terrific, I think he's answered his critics in terms of whether he could play at this level, I don't think there's absolutely any doubt in my mind and never was when we recruited him, Even though he played at a third division college level in the States."
"He was outstanding, he not only shot well but I was really pleased with him defensively as well."
Despite the win, Titmuss is not allowing himself or his team to get carried away.
"We were mis-firing on offences, I certainly don't think we're at any level of sophistication offensively, where we're going to need to be as the season progresses.
"I think defensively there were times when, although our transition getting back to defence was pretty good, there were times when we didn't communicate well and gave up really quite cheap baskets that in another game would have been the difference.
"As ever there are a hundred things to work on but we'll be going to practice this week to just identify one or two key things and try and do it step by step."
