Gall has played for the Raiders for five years |
Plymouth Raiders' Allister Gall has been named as the new club captain after signing a new one-year contract. Gall was the supporters' club player of the year last season as the Raiders made the semi-finals of the BBL play-offs, losing to Newcastle Eagles. Gall, 29, replaces DeAntoine Beasley as Raiders captain next season. He said: "I feel very honoured to be taking on the role as captain of the Raiders and I feel I can add great value to on court matters." "Playing for this club means the world to me and I want to instil a similar attitude to this year's new players," Gall added. Raiders head coach Gary Stronach said Gall has improved considerably throughout his five years at the club and is confident his new captain will take on the extra responsibility successfully. "Allister will have to draw on leadership skills to help guide what will essentially be a new team and we are lucky to have home grown talent maintaining the tradition of leading us onto court," he said.
