Stronach appeared 356 times for the Raiders as a player

Plymouth Raiders head coach Gary Stronach has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 2009/10 season will be Stronach's 24th year with the Raiders and his 10th on the coaching staff.

Raiders chairman Bob Widdecombe said he was determined to secure Stronach's signature for another year.

He said: "Gary is the heart and soul of this club, and we're pleased the negotiations over his contract were finalised so quickly."
