Flournoy is keen to avenge the loss by Everton earlier in the season |
Newcastle Eagles head coach Fab Flournoy has urged his side to avenge their BBL Cup defeat by Everton in Tuesday's BBL Trophy semi-final. Eagles lost 202-198 to the Tigers at the same stage of the cup competition and Flournoy is keen to avoid a similar fate across the two games. "Obviously it's a big game, we need to be focused and prepared," he said. "We need to be competitive, but we can't win the tie in the first leg, all we can do is set up the second leg." Eagles have won two of three matches in February, although Flournoy admitted preparations for Tuesday's game have been affected by injuries to key players. | 606: DEBATE |
"We're down a few bodies at the moment. Lynard [Stewart] is out for four-to-six weeks, and I'm just getting back into playing shape," he said. "Trey [Moore] twisted his ankle in practice on Sunday, he'll play, but he'll be less than 100%."
