Anthony Martin continued his good form this season with 19 points |
Plymouth Raiders moved up to fourth in the BBL Championship after their third win in five days at the Pavilions. The Raiders beat the Milton Keynes Lions 77-69 after recovering from a 43-37 half-time deficit. They blasted the Lions in the third quarter to lead 59-55 going into the final period where they extended their lead still further. Anthony Martin was man of the match and top scorer for Plymouth with 19 points, while Gaylon Moore hit 14 points. "In the third quarter we went up by as many as four. We were very focused defensively and guys stepped up. When we get going defensively we're very tough," head coach Gary Stronach told BBC Radio Devon. And Stronach said the team's performance in the second half was what he would have expected. "40 points for us is right where we want to be. We roughly want 80 points for the game and hold our opponents anywhere from 70 to 75 points which is what we did," he said.
