Promotion-chasing Torquay stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games with a deserved 2-0 win over Mansfield.

Torquay's Mustapha Carayol and Roscoe DSane had two of the few decent chances in a poor first half, while the visitors posed little threat.

But Torquay were livelier after the break, going in front when Carayol crossed for DSane to finish.

And the lead was doubled when Steve Woods headed in Kevin Nicholson's corner at the near post.
