Gary Stronach says he is now fully fit for the upcoming season

Plymouth Raiders head coach Gary Stronach says he has fully recovered from the bacterial illness which struck him during the BBL finals weekend.

After losing over a stone and a half in weight, he says it forced him to take stock of his job as a basketball coach.

"When you get something serious like that it makes you think about where you're going as a basketball coach and your life as well," he told BBC Devon.

But he says he is now fully fit and has regained the weight he lost.

He is hoping for a successful season and will be joined on the sidelines for some of the time by new player-coach DeAntoine Beasley.
