De la Haye won the singles but lost in the doubles final |
Top Guernsey junior Jess de la Haye won the inaugural Breda Cup pool tournament, beating Jersey's Andy Stentiford 6-2 in the final. Stentiford took the first game, but then lost the next four. Despite winning the following game, De la Haye's potting ability proved too strong as he claimed the last two games and the first prize of £200. Stentiford then joined Dane Jennings to win the doubles tournament, beating Guernsey's de la Haye and James Kirk.
