The Jersey Petanque Association is set to host its first ever international competition on the island in 2010. Teams from Scotland and Ireland are scheduled to travel to Jersey to take part in a triples competition over the weekend of 26-27 June. In July 2009 Jersey defeated Guernsey in the 23rd inter-insular petanque match at Carrefour Petanque club. Jersey claimed a comprehensive 30-18 win over their rivals, their first at home since 1997.
