The Isle of Man ladies hockey squad finished third

The Isle of Man men's and ladies national hockey sides failed to retain their ABN AMRO Islands Hockey titles in Jersey at the weekend.

The men's side reached the final but were beaten 3-0 by hosts Jersey while the ladies finished third.

Manager Richard McAleer said: "Both sides did us proud, they've won many fans at this tournament for their performances and team spirit."

Jersey were the winners of both the men's and ladies tournaments.

McAleer added: "Both sides played some excellent hockey and grew is strength and confidence throughout the tournament."

Bermuda will host the next tournament in 2011.
