Bacchas A maintained their one point advantage in the Men's Premier Hockey Division on Saturday with the 21-0 drubbing of an under-strength Ramsey A. Karl Moore scored an incredible nine times with Andy Whiting (4), Dave Kneale (3), Sean Corlett (2) Gareth Craig (2) and Jamie Cox all on target. The Tromode side have now netted 37 goals in their last three outings. Valkyrs A kept up the pressure on the leaders with a hard fought 4-2 victory over third placed Vikings A. Captain Chris Caldwell led the way with two goals, Gerry Quinn and Steven Lowe also finding the Vikings net. Conor Byrne and Simon Foster netted for Vikings. Meanwhile, Castletown A maintained their winning run with a 3-1 victory over Bacchas B and Valkyrs and Vikings B teams drew 2-2. In the Women's Premier League, Vikings A extended their lead to seven points with a 2-0 victory over Valkyrs A to leapfrog their opponents. Strikes from Dani Coombes and Delta Williams were enough to make it seven wins out of seven for Kim Carney's side. In the bottom of the table clash, Julie Burrows scored the only goal of the game as Phoenix A edged past Bacchas A.
