Guernsey men's hockey side defeated Worthing 7-1 to book a place in the semi-finals of the HA Trophy.
Player/coach Ben Allberry led the way scoring four with the first just 34 seconds into Sunday's game.
Damien Wallen, Matt Watson and Jonny Clark got the rest, Worthing's Ben Burriss scoring their only goal.
Allberry said: "We played the type of hockey that we know we can do and it's pleasing to see we can play that way and kill a team off in the first half."
After Allberry's first minute goal, Guernsey kept the pressure on, being rewarded with a penalty stroke which the player/coach slotted home.
Wallen scored on 18 minutes and, even after Watson slotted the ball home, Worthing kept their heads up and Burriss brought it back to 4-1. But the Guernsey response was swift, Clark adding his name to the scoresheet within two minutes.
Guernsey captain Andy Whalley on the ball
Just before half-time Allberry got his hat-trick from a penalty corner, but in the second half Guernsey only found the back of the net once - Allberry scoring his fourth.
Allberry said playing at home helps.
"It does make a big difference," he said. "The crowd we got behind us today was just phenomenal.
"We knew we had to hit them early, we knew we had to get them on the backfoot.
"We had to capitalise on that and we did."
Guernsey captain Andy Whalley said: "We've built a great side over the last year, with Ben Allberry coming over.
"He's brought a new mentality to the side.
"We've built a squad of 20-22 players all fighting to get in the team.
"When you've got that many players pushing for places it brings the quality of the side up."
Allberry scores the only penalty stroke of the game
Worthing team manager David Edmondson praised the Guernsey team, admitting that the final is not beyond their reach.
"I think the highest level you can get is the league above us," he said. "Obviously they're not affiliated to any of those leagues but I'd say they are definitely of that quality.
"Playing in that fashion I think they are a very difficult proposition for any team."
