British archer Alison Williamson missed out on a medal at archery's first-ever World Cup Final in Mexico. The Olympic bronze medallist drew with Italy's Elena Tonetta for the bronze medal in the women's recurve division.
That prompted the shoot-off, and while Williamson scored an eight with her first arrow, Tonetta fired a nine to clinch the medal.
Williamson only made it to the finals in Merida after the withdrawal of Koreans Yun Ok Hee and Lee Tuk Young.
The highlight on finals day was the men's compound gold medal match, won by American Reo Wilde with a perfect score: 120 on a 12 arrow match.
At the World Junior Championships in Mexico, the British ladies team of Rosie Smith, Emily Brown and Lucy O'Sullivan won the silver medal in the women's cadet compound division. O'Sullivan also won a bronze medal in the individual championship.
