Williamson failed at the last-16 stage of qualifying last month |
Britain will have an archer at this month's first-ever World Cup Finals in Shanghai after all, after Alison Williamson was handed a late reprieve. Olympic bronze medallist Williamson, who turns 35 next month, originally failed to make it through qualifying.
But she has now been invited to compete following the withdrawal of Korean pair Yun Ok Hee and Lee Tuk Young.
"I'm sorry for them but delighted for me," said Williamson. "I'm really excited and it will be a huge honour."
