Shooter Heading chases 2012 place Commonwealth shooting gold medallist Aaron Heading is starting his bid for a place in the GB team for London 2012. The clay pigeon shooter from South Lincolnshire is competing at World Cup events in Chile, Australia and China over the next two months. He told BBC Look North: "I want to win one of the next three competitions to get qualification out of the way." Heading, who is ranked number three in Britain is chasing one of the quota places for the Olympic Games. He added: "It's going to be hard work and with the training I've been doing we'll see how I get along." Heading has been practising for the World Cup at his favourite shooting ground near Beverley in East Yorkshire. The shooter won the gold medal in the men's trap singles at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi last year.
