Armagh artist Seamus Duffy and the painting that the BBC is offering for a prize
Seamus Duffy and the prize painting
BBC Northern Ireland is offering a masterpiece to match Armagh's artistery in winning the Sam Maguire Cup.

They have commissioned Armagh artist Seamus Duffy to paint a special picture to coincide with their All-Ireland appearance.

Now that Joe Kernan's men went on to make history with their magnificent victory over Kerry, the prize will obviously have an added significance.

The painting was shown during television coverage of the event, with viewers asked to suggest a name for the painting.

Following the Orchard County's success, entries flooded into the programme as fans atttempt to win the one-off prize as an everlasting memory.

The painter himself will select what he thinks is the most appropriate title from the leading suggestions.

The following are a sample of the entries so far:

''Field of Gold''
''Orchard's Delight''
''An Uprising For Sam''
''My Ball Our year''
''The one that didn't get away''
''Giants among men'
''Reach for Heaven''
''Leap of Faith''

The competition will remain open until Friday evening. Send your suggestions to:
