Ronnie Russell's side suffered their first defeat in seven meetings on Monday |
Swindon's unbeaten run came to an end on Monday as they lost 50-42 in their Elite League meeting at Wolverhampton. Robins captain Leigh Adams top scored with 12 and was backed up by Grzegorz Zengota who managed paid 10. Swindon were without Thomas H Jonasson who is recovering from a crash he suffered in Sweden. Team manager Ronnie Russell told BBC Wiltshire: "I said the key person would be Thomas but he couldn't travel because he's still too injured." Jonasson was advised not to fly after having a tooth removed that he cracked during an accident while racing in his home country. Despite some decent racing from the Swindon riders, Russell said it was not enough. "An encouraging performance does nothing for me," he said. "It was a good performance but we must take points at the places we go."
