Newcastle team boss George English has called on the squad to maintain the form that has seen them climb into the top four of speedway's Premier League.

Diamonds have won their last eight meetings in all competitions and English wants that success to continue.

"It's a position we need to consolidate now and improve on over the next few weeks," English said.

"We've done so well and sit in fourth now and have games in hand over all three of the teams sitting above us."

Diamonds beat Workington Comets 55-39 at Newcastle Stadium on Sunday.
