Strong field for Brummies opener

Grand Prix star Seb Ulamek will be among the favourites at Perry Barr

A host of leading riders will be at Perry Barr on Wednesday night for the Alan Hunt Memorial Trophy.

Grand Prix star Sebastian Ulamek is joined by stars from the Elite and Premier Leagues in Birmingham's traditional curtain-raiser.

"We're looking forward to this meeting for lots of reasons - the fans will see plenty of cracking racing," said Brummies boss Graham Drury,

"The line-up is full of genuine racers who never give up."

All seven Birmingham riders are included in the field with the addition of one of last season's Brummies squad, Phil Morris.

Former Wolves rider David Howe returns to defend the title he won last year, while 2007 champion Andre Compton is back after a brief period in retirement.
