Polish rider Sebastian Ulamek pipped Shane Parker and Birmingham skipper Jason Lyons to capture the Alan Hunt Memorial Trophy at Perry Barr. Ulamek sealed victory by winning the final heat to finish on 13 points, one ahead of Australians Parker and Lyons. Brummies star Lyons had started the meeting with three successive race wins, but was edged by Parker in the race-off for the silver medal. 2007 champion Andre Compton finished tied for fourth with Claus Vissing. It was a night of modest performances from the other Brummies riders involved in Wednesday's event. New signing Ludvig Lindgren earned six points, Richard Sweetman five and Marek Mroz two. Birmingham head to Stoke on Saturday for the M6 Trophy meeting.
