A home win for Adams made it an ideal 60th birthday for Swindon |
Swindon captain Leigh Adams made the Robins' 60th anniversary celebration on Sunday a perfect day for the Abbey Stadium crowd by securing victory. He took 14 points from five qualifying rides, and won his semi-final before seeing off Belle Vue's Polish youngster Krystof Kasprzak in the final. Current world champion Nicki Pedersen finished in third place. Brazilian-born Swede Antonio Lindback secured a maximum haul in qualifying, but had to settle for fourth overall.
