Swindon captain Leigh Adams will face his new Swedish side Lejonen

Swindon ride their first meeting of the new season on Thursday as they welcome Swedish champions Lejonen to the Abbey Stadium for a challenge match.

Troy Batchelor will line up for the Robins after receiving his work visa while Simon Stead makes his debut.

Swindon skipper Leigh Adams also rides for Lejonen and is hoping for a tough meeting as they prepare for the new Elite League campaign.

"I've just signed for them. It's a good club with great people," he said.
