Pijper started the season with Elite League side Swindon |
Mildenhall Fen Tigers have been dealt yet another blow with the news that they will be without Theo Pijper for their next two meetings. The Dutchman suffered two engine blow-ups while riding in France recently and will miss this weekend's matches at Workington and Glasgow. Polish rider Marek Mroz has been signed as a replacement although the change still has to be ratified by the BSPA. Mildenhall have lost all 15 of their Premier League meetings this season. Losing heat-leaders Kaj Laukkanen and Robbie Kessler has not helped their cause and team manager Laurence Rogers has been working hard to replace them. He told the club website: "I am hoping that a replacement for Robbie may now be in place by our next home meeting on Sunday 27 July. "Replacing Kaj is proving a difficult one to crack despite trying from all angles but I am still working on it."
