This is Linfoot's first season with Stonebaker Racing |
Knaresborough rider Dan Linfoot failed to finish in the seventh round of the European Superstock 600 Championship at Brands Hatch. The 20-year-old Stonebaker racing rider collided with Patrick Vostarek to bring his race to a premature end. Linfoot was in third after the first five laps before the incident happened, he is now fifth in the championship. He said: "It was just my luck really, I don't seem to have been having much of that in the last few races." Linfoot added: "I felt comfortable in third place and had been as high as second earlier on. "Loris Baz came past me and as I had the pace to stick with him, I did but when Patrick Vostarek ran into a corner too hot, Loris passed underneath him and I followed him through. "I was pushed by another rider and had to stand my bike up which led to the coming together with Vostarek." There are three rounds of the championship remaining, the next one is at Donington Park on 7 September.
