Gordon Crockard was in the points in Sweden |
Newtownards rider Gordon Crockard added 14 points to his world championship tally in the Motocross Grand Prix of Sweden on Sunday. The PAR Homes Honda ace was 16th in the first MX1 race of the day but improved to take 12th position in race two.
Race one was won by Belgian Ken de Dycker from Tanel Leok but de Dycker had to settle for second in race two behind Steve Ramon.
Kiwi Josh Coppins continues to enjoy a healthy lead in the championship.
Crockard now lies 16th in the series but was disappointed not to be higher up the placings on Sunday.
"I'm disappointed and frustrated. It was tough trying to get through the field in both races and I couldn't be 100 per cent committed in the deep ruts as I was protecting my knee a little," he said.
Crockard's next race will be at Whitby in Yorkshire next Sunday, the sixth round of the British championship.
