Penzkofer is a former World Enduro Race winner

German rider Rico Penzkofer will return for his third consecutive year at the Isle of Man TT races.

In 2010, Penzkofer posted a 124.926mph lap of the Mountain Course, on his way to an impressive 12th place in the showpiece Senior TT.

The 35-year-old will again ride for the SK support team and will make a concerted attack on the Superbike and Senior races on BMW machinery.

The Borna racer will ride Yamaha's for the event's two Supersport races.

The last German rider to stand on the TT podium was Helmut Dahne, who finished second in the 1986 Production B TT.
