Andrews will ride Kawasaki�s new ZX-10R in the 2011 Evo class in BSB

Leading British Super Bike rider Simon Andrews will make his debut at the Isle of Man TT races in 2011.

The 26-year-old will ride a former Jentin BMW S1000RR Superstock for Paul Shoesmith's Ice Valley BMW team.

"I will be on a good bike and I have the right people around me and helping me, so I am really looking forward to the event," Andrews said.

He will compete in the Dainese Superbike, Royal London 360 Superstock and PokerStars Senior TT races.

The Evesham racer broke his leg in the second round of the World Superbike Championship in Valencia in 2010. Despite the injury he finished tenth in the British series, as well as gaining an impressive fourth place finish at Macau.

Andrews continued: "The TT has always been in the back of mind. Whereever I go in the world people always ask me if I have done it and I have always had to say no.

"It's going to be a super steep learning curve, so I will need to stay calm and look after the nerves but I am used to pressure. I have spoken to John McGuinness, Keith Amor and Conor Cummins and listened to all their advice."

TT rider liaison officer Richard Quayle described it as a real coup for event.

"Simon has a great track record on circuits and his proven road racing experience at Macau will also stand him in good stead," said Quayle.
