Webster attained an average of 6.68 at Newport during the 2010 season

Newport rider Tim Webster has joined the Stoke Potters ahead of their first ever season in the National League.

Webster, 21, becomes the Potters' third new signing after the arrival of Simon Lambert and Tony Atkin at Loomer Road.

"Tim comes highly rated," said promoter Dave Tattum. "He is enthusiastic and wants to progress in the sport.

"He used to be a regular at training schools at Stoke, he knows the track well and I'm delighted to have him in the side for the new season."

Webster was born in Walsall and has raced for King's Lynn, Weymouth, Scunthorpe, Newport and Plymouth during his seven-year career.
