Simon Lambert will be Stoke Potters' number one rider when the National League season get under way in March. The 21-year-old from Boston finished sixth in the National League averages in 2010 and will continue to double up in the Premier League with Sheffield. "Simon is a quality number one in the National League and I'm confident he will do a superb job for us here at Stoke," said promoter Dave Tattum. "We wanted him and he is pleased to be joining us for the new campaign." Lambert won the prestigious Golden Hammer meeting at Monmore Green in September. He also made the final of the National League Riders Championship, in which he was leading the final until the very last lap before being overtaken by Lee Smart.
