Lambert has previously raced for Scunthorpe, Kings Lynn and Boston |
Simon Lambert has agreed to stay with Sheffield Tigers for a second successive term. The 21-year-old arrived at Owlerton towards the end of 2010 season after losing his place at Scunthorpe. "I'm very pleased to be staying with Sheffield. They took me on when I lost my place at Scunthorpe and I settled into the team well," said Lambert. "They had the confidence in me to take me on and I think I proved what I am capable of." He added: "From the age of 15 my career had only gone one way each year and that was up. "It was a big body-blow to be struggling and watch my career nosedive last year until Neil Machin rang me up and offered me a lifeline." Meanwhile Tigers have recalled club asset Emiliano Sanchez, who was with Redcar Bears last season.
