Sheffield Tigers have signed Simon Lambert after he was released by Scunthorpe Speedway.

Lambert will go into the Tigers side to face Rye House on Thursday after replacing reserve rider Arlo Bugeja who has struggled with form this season.

Sheffield co-promoter David Hoggart said: "A change of club for him will do him good.

"I know how delighted he is to be joining Sheffield and racing at a track he likes so much."

Hoggart added: "Simon is a good lad, he has guested for us before and has never let us down."
