Andy Priaulx preparing for busy year of racing

Andy Priaulx
Priaulx said he was looking forward to competing across three continents

Guernsey driver Andy Priaulx is expecting a hectic 2011 schedule in his ninth season as a BMW driver.

The triple world champion will be racing in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and competing as a regular driver for BMW Team Schnitzer.

He said: "I am really looking forward to this year as we are competing in some great races on three continents.

"The programme is very varied and, with testing duties, I shall be just as busy if not busier than before."

Priaulx's Cup programme sees him travel over to the US to take part in the 59th Sebring 12-hour classic in Florida in March before heading to Belgium in May to race at the Spa Francorchamps circuit.

In June he competes in the Le Mans 24-hour event before heading to Imola the following month and in September he drives at the Silverstone circuit.

It is back to the USA in October to take part in Road Atlanta before rounding off the year at the Zhuhai track in China in November.
